This annual exhibition occurs every spring and features regional and community artists.  It is open to anyone who wishes to enter.  Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces.  All media are excepted. All artwork submitted will be shown the exhibition provided it meets some basic requirements. This exhibition is juried for cash prizes, one in each category and one Grand prize.  The show is open to both adult and youth artists and you need not be a professional to enter.

2010 Juror:  Matthew Wallace
Matthew Wallace is the North Dakota Museum of Art Assistant to the Director, Director for Programming and Director of the Rural Arts Initiative, a community outreach program that brings Museum exhibitions to small towns throughout North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. He schedules programming events, runs the Summer Concerts in the Garden, curates the Winter Art Auction as well as one exhibition a year.

Wallace was born in Devils Lake, ND, and raised on a farm near Warwick, ND, on the Spirit Lake Reservation. After graduating from Warwick Public High School, he attended the University of North Dakota. He graduated with a B.A. in English in 1999. Upon completion of his degree, Matthew served two years in the Peace Corps in Romania teaching English to fifth-eighth grade students in Aiud, Romania. Upon returning to the States he interned in the Washington offices of Senators Byron Dorgan and Joseph Lieberman. Currently, he is pursing his Masters of Liberal Arts degree from Minnesota State University, Moorhead while working full time.

No more than 3 entries may be submitted. The ENTRY FEES must be submitted with completed Registration Form.

April 1        Registration Forms Deadline

April 26      Deadline for Artwork to arrive at Arts Center

May 6         Exhibit opens, Reception 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Juror's (Matthew Wallace) Comments 6:00 pm

June 18      Last Viewing Day for Show

June 19      Hand-Delivered artwork pickup between 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

JFAA MEMBERS:  $5 per work entered
NON-MEMBERS: $10 first entry; $5 for each additional entry.

46th Annual Jamesotwn Fine Arts Association Spring Art Show (2010)

This year 58 artists participated from 5 states:  North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin and Oregon.  In North Dakota artists come from the communities of Bismarck, Buchanan, Edgeley, Fargo, Gackle, Grand Forks, Jamestown, LaMoure, Minot, Richardton, Rugby, Streeter, Valley City, West Fargo, and Wishek.  There are 136 pieces in this year's show.
