After a year hiatus, Jamestown Fine Arts Association’s 48th Annual Art Show is coming up in August and deadlines are fast approaching. This long-running exhibition is a community favorite and is open to all artists, young and mature, amateur and professional. To participate, all you need to do is fill out an entry form and return it by June 1, 2012. These forms, that outline all the details, dates and deadlines can be obtained by emailing sjeppson@jamestownartscenter.org or calling 701-251-2496.
Exhibition dates are August 4 – September 7, 2012.
Every artist can submit up to 3 pieces. All mediums will be accepted. All work whether wall-hung or 3-dimensional must be safe, framed and ready to hang or display. Once the exhibition is installed, it will be juried for prizes in each medium, people’s choice and best of show.
The 2012 Juror for prizes is Terry Jelsing. Jelsing has worked professionally as an artist, teacher, curator, arts administrator and presenter for more than 30 years. A native North Dakotan, his work is spiritually tied to the prairie landscape, its history and its people. He works in a variety of media to create two- and threedimensional
works of art, including large public commissions. His work is part of public and private collections, both in the United States and abroad.

June 15 – Registration form due
July 16 – Artwork needs to arrive at Arts Center
August 4 – Opening Reception
