EXPANSION
After 47 years of providing arts activities to Jamestown and surrounding communities, the Arts Center needs to improve and expand its facilities.
The ne w Arts Center Complex brings to Jamestown:
- an aesthetically pleasing gathering space for the community in the Arts Park
- a classroom and kitchen to accommodate the Culinary Arts in the Arts Center
- a new ceramics facility where everyone can be a potter
- a classroom solely for adults and senior citizens to explore stained glass, woodcarving, jewelry, lapidary and more
The Arts Park
Just imagine... a summer concert series, artists demonstrating, outdoor performances, exhibits or even open-air arts markets – a destination for both locals and tourists. A landscaped plaza-like square in the heart of downtown will be a welcome site for community gatherings and activities.
The Arts Center and Annex
Just imagine... a downtown destination where residents, businesses and tourists can see the creative energy of the community. In keeping with Jamestown’s growth, the new façades of the Arts Center and Annex will visually enhance Jamestown and provide a focal point for the arts downtown.
The Goal
The project goal of $1,500,000 will allow the Arts Center to expand as well as provide sustainability for the arts downtown.
Gifts may be given to the project as a whole or donors can choose to leave a legacy and name a specific component – the Art Center, Arts Park, Gallery, or Endowment.
